Top 10 Movies of 2012 (All Genres)
A simple list of the top 10 movies 2012 so from all popular genres like comedy, romance, sci-fi etc. The list is based on my personal choice, imdb rating and general popularity.
Being from India, where the largest number of movies are produced per year it's a given that I am a big fan of movies. Although, I like to watch International movies just as much as I like Indian movies.
There was a time in my college days when I dreamed of becoming a director and even wrote a movie script! Well, even though it's a little embarrassing to think about now I did enjoy imagining myself wearing the director's cap and shouting Action!
Here is my list of the best movies of the year 2012.

There were some really good new comedy hollywood movies in 2012. These may not be all the best ones but you should not miss these 10 for sure.

A guy coming out of mental asylum wants to reunite with his ex-wife while living with his parents.

Childhood wish for a live teddy comes true for remainder of his life.

About a writer who looks for inspiration, getting drawn into a dog kidnapping scheme of his friend.

A hilarious story of 2 undercover guys sent to high school from the police force.

Jason Moore directorial tickled the funny bone of the audience.

Here is my list of the 10 best movies of 2012 list from all genres. If you are trying to decide which DVD to buy for watching on this weekend this list will definitely help. Pick up any of them and you won't be dissapointed.
1. Argo (Release date-10 October 2012)
Ben Affleck directed and acted in one of the best movies of 2012. The story of how secret services from US and Canada retrieve group of American nationals taken hostage in Iran, shot brilliantly.
2. Life of Pi (Release date-21 November 2012)
Director Ang Lee’s epic shot in digital 3D was the story of Pi who has to survive on boat with a tiger after being hit by a storm while travelling to Canada with his family.
3. Lincoln (Release date-16 November 2012)
Director Steven Spielberg recreated a political drama on US president Abraham Lincoln’s life.
4. Amour (Release date-20 May 2012)
Story of a retired couple and their daughter and how ageing and dementia changes their life and everything in it.
5. The Master (Release date 21 September 2012)
A returning war veteran has a need to find some support which is provided in certain cult.
6. Beasts of the Southern Wild (Release date-27 June 2012)

I know my list of the 10 best movies of 2012 from various genres has some repetitions but that is because even though there were hundreds of movies that released in 2012 only a handful of them were truly good.
There may be others that were good too or some that were better than the ones on the list however made the list out of only the ones that I watched personally. I think the list can be improved with your help.
